Assembly Operator

 

Our client, a leading supplier of electronic components to manufacturers of space, military and industrial equipment worldwide, an established manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and a testing organisation, seeks Assembly Operator to join their growing business.

Reporting to the Assembly Coordinator, the Assembly Operator will assemble parts in accordance with specifications and good working practices.

Once fully trained you would be able to carry out one or more of the following functions according to your skill set and operational need:

- Wafer saw

- Die attach

- Wire bonding (fine and heavy)

- Gold ribbon bonding

- Lid sealing

- Materials handling

- Module assembly

- Production inspection

The successful Assembly Operator will be a team player, logical, methodical and outgoing person with attention to detail and extremely dextrous, possess a good visual acuity and good hand eye coordination and the ability to learn.

Previous experience within a clean room environment, experience of automatic bonding and die attachment equipment (i.e.wire bonding) would be advantageous.

Having previously used microscopes or undertaken a role involving both hands (such as a jeweller for example) would be beneficial.

In return the company offers a full time work on a 13-week temporary to permanent placement within a supportive team. The hours of work are: Monday – Friday, 14.00 – 22.00 with pay of £250+ per week. Own transport is essential due to location.
